TANK TEE KIT - 1" x 11" Tank Tee
PRESSURE SWITCH - 30-50 Pressure switch.
SOLID BRASS - No lead construction.
PRESSURE GAUGE - 1/4" 100 psi Pressure Gauge; 1/2" Brass boiler Drain; 1/4" x 3" Brass nipple.
THREAD TAPE - Roll of 1/2" x 520" 3.5 mils thread seal tape.
As someone else already stated, great value and product. But the teflon tape is absolute crap! I used it. Don't make my mistake. I installed this on a shallow well pump. Lots of threaded transitions into and out of standard PVC fittings to go from well to pump, pump to filters, filters, to pressure tank, etc... Got it all done and turned it on. I had a couple old rolls of teflon tape lying around that I used up before starting to use the tape they supplied with this package. Every single one of my threaded connections where I used my old tape was tight. Every single one of my threaded connections where I used their tape leaked. Several of these connections I can correct easily, all threaded. But a couple of the transitions I'm going to have to cut my PVC, buy more parts, and reinstall. This is going to cost me several hours and ~$30 in parts. They should do everyone a favor by keeping the price the same and NOT include the teflon tape. So ANGRY at the senselessness of it. I'd love to give it 1 star accordingly. But that wouldn't be fair as the product is otherwise perfectly acceptable.I am so happy I went with this tank and hardware considering the state of inventory in our stores.Came promptly, feels and looks like quality.Installed in 1 hour by myself after buying 2 -3/4 inch PVC Shark bite connections. I would recommend this product to anyone.Just what I needed.Everything I needed to install a new pressure tank. Thank youGood product, easy to put in. But do not use the thread tape it comes with. Save yourself a headache and get some thread compound. It is much more reliable.Worked great, the union was the best part wouldn't hesitate to order again down the road.teflon tape was missing. but I found some in my tool chest. This kit is absolutely the bee's knees. I recommend it! I got the 40/60 version, and the pressure switch is relatively accurate, running just a hair on the high side. Everything is in there that you need for connecting a new pressure tank to your system. Anytime you change your pressure tank, you really need to change all these components as well. I didn't realize how bad the original pressure switch and the gauge had gotten. The one thing you will need to pick up is some decent teflon tape, or as I prefer, some good quality Teflon pipe dope. The bonus Teflon tape was, I suppose, serviceable but I prefer better stuff. I'm old school, so I use pipe dope.I've seen a couple negative reviews on here regarding the included pressure gauge and it not being accurate, and while this is not a high-end gauge with liquid fill, It seems to work fine, seems relatively accurate, and does its job. No complaints.I would also like to point out that the union style of this tee is the solution I did not know I needed till I used it. It is so nice to be able to adjust the angle / position of the tee without having to mess with the threads going into the tank. Definitely a lifesaver!I was going to buy these items including the tee and the pressure switch, etc, at a local big box store. but of course they did not have everything I needed. And this solution ended up being much cheaper than buying them separately at the store.Another thing you may want to consider is getting a plug for the tee rather than using the pressure relief valve. I did that simply because I don't have a place to vent the valve if it pops off. (My system is under my house, in the crawl space. Not a place I want water.) So you would need to track down a 1/2 npt plug if you do what I did. Just bear in mind that the pop off valve is there for a reason. As far as a pressure tank, you will be better off getting that local because shipping is going to eat you up, and of course they have to hide that in the price.
